Open Routing and Remote Access on your Server. 2. For XP pro VPN host, go to the Properties of the VPN>Network, check Specify TCP/IP address and Allow calling computer to specify its own IP address, and uncheck Assign TCP/IP addresses I keep getting error 800. The VPN server may be un-reachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.

Retrying the connection after waiting a minute or two can help rule out sporadic network outages. Any possiblity the IP address changedunexpectedly or is not resolving correctly?Any sort of error message(s) popping up during a connect attempt?I'd DEFINATELY look into whatever logs are available on the VPN Odd thing is I can still log in fine from the same laptop if I use my neighbor's WIFI instead of my own.Must be something on my home router/gateway right? They were seeing a similar issue recently with Cox Communications users. The error comes when the VPN tunnel type is set to automatic and the connection fails for all VPN tunnels. If you know which tunnel should be used for your deployment, It seems like a comcast issue since I can connect anywhere else except from home.
