Now, I know that it VC++ 9 isn't officially supported, but apparently people haven't gotten it to work fairly well. Last edited by psychopath on Wed Jan 09, 2008 3:20 am, edited 1 time in total. Thank you in advance. The error went away after rebuilding and fixing some include and lib paths that were set wrong.

In VS2005 and later, projects that don't depend on each other can be built in parallel so that if the same working dir is used, you can get file conflicts like Kb946040 I did not know about the character limit, and while I don't think I had paths near that length, it's better to err on the side of caution. Even though /Gm is disabled it still generates a idb. https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/0ceac3c6-62f6-4fdf-82e1-d41e1b4fcd20/vs2008-c2471-cannot-update-program-database?forum=vclanguage Two or more of the projects are not dependent on each other.

Craig and no I'm not a dev. I downloaded and built all the dependancies myself, and they all built fine after upgrading the project files. This worked for me. There are a few things I would prefer to see implemented differently though. you can try this out pdb not found for various libs just means that some of the libraries are without debug information which is ok. Rebuilding the affected projects works for me when that happens. In the future, around year 2500, will only one language exist on earth? This documentation is archived and is not being maintained. http://gmailpush.com/visual-studio/visual-studio-error-writing-to-program-database.html As Paradigm suggest rebuild usually fixes this, if not close VS and delete that particular file.

However, the C# developers will not be pleased with my decision. Why is the size of my email about a third bigger than the size of its attached files? Information from the VC7 and VC9 compilers cannot be combined into a single file, it has to be totally remade with VC9. "liuxinfengabc" <> wrote in message news:... > Hi: >
