You’ll be auto redirected in 1 second. How to fix it I got some error "Unrecoverable build error" when I deploy a project. I found a "solution" in http://support.microsoft.com/?id=329214, but it doesn't work for me. I have not tried to create a Setup/deployment with VS2005, but I have with VS 2008.

I Can't tell you how this post was helpfull. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count). Deleting them solved the problem. I have VS2005 and VS2008.

Monday, November 28, 2005 2:49 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Damn!I've just reinstalled VS2005, after removing everything about it and .NET Framewok 2.0 and 1.1.But the problem Why does registering ole32.dll that fix the problem?  And how did you figure that out? have a peek here I found that creating another project again, using the same source files, then I create the Setup project (again) and the Setup Project build without troubles.

The final "linking"-process now could not found merge-module one and brought the error "Unrecoverable Build Error". Microsoft Visual Studio will attempt to create a temporary "SETUP.CAB" file in the dynamic view, and the following will be seen in the Process Monitor output: "Extended Attributes Not Supported" errors Any other ideas?
