That's the main reason I wanted to use vmware in the first place so I could have a image that was easier to move around and backup. I've run it from the cmd by typing the path to win-install (under admin privileges) and cmd closes right away, and also from windows. It opens the cmd window and it automatically closes it (yes I'm running it under admin privileges).
