When connected to my vCenter server, when I try to access a VM "Console" I receive an error msg - UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE MKS: FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER So clearly I missed some requirements somewhere myself ... I then saw someone mention on another forum, "did you configure the Network Protocol?"  While Vsphere will work without configuring(uses default/detected settings I guess), when trying to console to a VM Deploy and Customize Dynamics CRM 2011 I was tasked with choosing, deploying, configuring, customizing, training and supporting a new CRM system for our company.
