Thanks a lot! The VPN driver only has i386 and PPC extensions, not x86_64 extensions. Now, I see a successful connect, authentication and IP address, even the banner message, but almost immediately after that, the VPN disconnects! This does not cover the "Error 51" issue from this page but did cause the Cisco VPN software not to connect. If you need to connect to a client VPN from work, and you are using Windows PPTP (build-in VPN), you need to open TCP port 1723 on your local or corporate error 51: bla bla fixed it with: sudo ifconfig fw0 down (password required) but this only works until restart then i get the same error until i do it again. I can connect to my vpn ok, but then I lose access to the internet.

Eduardo P.J. I selected those two VPN lines and clicked on Approve button.  You might need to add them to your application list. VPN over dialup still doesn't work me. If you are having this issue, try running Software Update and make sure you have the latest release and see if that helps.
